Patrick Connor – Ontario Trails Council

Executive Director, Ontario Trails Council

Patrick Connor is Executive Director of the Ontario Trails Council. Trained as a Social – Economist Patrick spent many years as a behaviouralist working in social services.

Over his 25 year career Patrick has sat on boards at the International, National, Regional, Provincial and local levels, Social Action committees, United Way, Church and Youth Groups and a variety of strategic public policy development organizations.

Currently Patrick is a Director of the National Trails Coalition and Vice President of the Canadian Trails Federation.  He is Professionally Accredited through the Canadian Society of Association Executives holding the Internationally recognized CAE AME designation, as well as holding a Business Diploma in Social Service Administration.

His involvement in trails speaks to the direct observation of his professional experience – that is he is keenly aware of the human cost when persons (of any age) are deprived of a connection to nature through institutionalization.
